Dear KPR Families,听

This week, we proudly celebrate Educational Assistants (EA), Child and Youth Workers (CYW), and Personal Care Assistants (PCA) in recognition of World Education Support Personnel Day on May 16. We extend our appreciation to these dedicated professionals whose care and commitment support student success across KPR听each and every听day!听

As we enter the latter part of the school year, the next six weeks promise to be full of energy and excitement. Among the flurry of activities,听we will be taking time to听reflect on our journey together听this year and听celebrate the听learning,听accomplishments听and steps forward听students have made.听听

Getting Ready for Kindergarten Webinar: Special Education & Inclusive Classrooms听

New and current Kindergarten families are invited to join us May 20, at 6:00 p.m. for a free听webinar听designed to support families and caregivers of children with special education needs as they prepare for Kindergarten at KPR.听

Join us to learn more about Kindergarten in KPR, how KPR supports diverse learning needs, and how families and schools work together to help every child feel safe, supported, and successful.听We鈥檒l听walk through the transition to听Kindergarten听process, share helpful resources, and answer听common questions.听

KPR Summer School Registration is Open!听

Summer School registration at KPR is now open! Summer School is an opportunity for students in Grades 8-12 to get ahead or catch up in their programs and classes. Learn more about the options available by visiting听kprschools.ca听and speaking with your school鈥檚 Guidance Counsellor today!听听

STSCO's Annual Opt-In for Transportation Requests听听

Student Transportation Services of Central Ontario (STSCO), which oversees busing in Peterborough, Northumberland and Clarington, is continuing the 鈥渙pt-in鈥 program for next school year. The opt-in program requires families to confirm their children鈥檚 intent to ride the school bus if they are eligible for transportation. Messaging about opting-in is shared directly by STSCO with all eligible families who have a Parent Portal account.听
